Desire was the only single that released before out of nowhere Arandem's 2nd album Distant Memories released exactly one year after the bands debut album.

This album was meant to expand Arandem's horizon. While The Great Betrayal and Desire became the bands heaviest songs at the time, Merchant and Wolf as well as Ride Until We Die did the exact opposite to show just how versatile Arandem could be.

Although the majority of songs was still written by Rane, the writing of this album was much more collaborative.
